My mom likes Tori too!!

Earlier today, I played Tori Amos for my mom for the first time ever, and I was very nervous about how she was going to react to the song. I chose "Pretty Good Year" from UTP, and guess what?? She absolutely adored it Laughing out loud I was thrilled, because my mom seldom listens to music, and when she does it's nothing like Tori's music. I was actually so happy that I danced around in the house Smiling She also liked "Cornflake Girl," which I played afterwards - and when she asked me to lend her the cd some day, I felt as if I were in heaven Smiling

I wish someone in my family liked Tori... even just a little bit. I'm so excited about the upcoming Australian shows, it's all i'm talking about really. And my family just don't get it. Hmmmm.... I remember playing Pele alot when I still lived with the folks, and my Mum was pondering... "how can you listen to that trash?" Shocked I was mortified and yet the words didn't go away. So... over time she "appreciates" Tori but still just doesn't get it. (Sigh)... I have moved on... no, really, I have. Hehe. Smiling

Yep, my mom is 69 years old... she borrows my car to go to work and she cranks the Tori up! It makes me so proud *sniffle*. Don't you love how they inherited our good taste???

I've played various Tori songs for my mom over the years and she never seemed moved. Then I sent her a YouTube clip of 1,000 Oceans that someone had put the words on the video and she LOVED IT. I sent it because the song reminds me of my late sister. My mom made this cool Poser 3D Computer Art picture (which she won't let me link too even on my MySpace) of a women by the ocean and then she is crying and holding this blue ball that is really another ocean. She asked me later which CD I would recommend she buys! (I told her Scarlet's Walk.) Well see if she likes it…
