Artistry defined and carried on Strings of Bo

I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...
It is hard to find a connection at times when you are yourself a musician. That right combination of singer/songwriter/artist seem to get lost in the way side in the modern concoction of American Idol Cosmopolitan. Tori is one of those pinnacle keys like her beloved Bo. To separate the girl from the woman, the musician from the piano would be like earth without water and air. Substance we need to thrive and survive. Tori brings to the art form she represents. The compositions alone are worth a look. Often complex and layered. Not to shabby for a girl who claimed that reading written music was not her forte. What she is capable of creating just by improve alone would astound the most studied musician. I am a fan first and foremost of the music, but by and by the artistry intrigues and captivates me. A true artist is not so unlike Kafka's fabled beetle. The must morph and shock you with each incarnation. Tori through the years has taken us all through a cosmic lollypop of journey. Each time offering up new flavors for us to consume and partake of. Most recently with the posses, Scarlet, and all the girls who have come out to speak and play for us over the years. I was a slow bloomer into the live music scene. After a few disappointing run with artist I had connected with, find myself wanting after the show had closed I had almost cut myself off for the live Genera. Finding it hard to swallow the reality of dub overs and vocal cleansing done in the editing room. I finally made it to my first show after years as a commercial release fan during the Scarlet's walk Tour. What an amazing experience, that something could actually become better in performance was a godsend I thought only great groups like the Chicago Symphony Orchestra could up hold. Tori with a piano is capable of the same virtuosity, the same passion, and the same energy that an 90 piece orchestra can omit. I've been an addict ever since. I have met many wonderful people at the shows, all who love Tori for their own special reason. That she speaks to so many in such deep and profound ways are a testament to Her art form, and a credit to her lasting power in a music society that is much more fond of sucking in artist and spitting them back out a mangled version of hat they one were. He is lasting power resides in every fan who loves her. Every person who dialed into that connection and refuse to let that number go. We are philes, peeps, addicts, you name it. Its a frenzy of the greatest kind and so glad I've found my way into the musical ride supplied. Over and over I have been asked what my favorite Tori song is. I can no sooner pick a favorite song, than a favorite doll in this latest posscarnation. T do so would be to leave out the essence of composition. I am reminded of a Line from the Movie Amadeus where we find ourselves amongst a heated discussion amongst the Court Music heads, and Mozart after they had previewed his most recent work. The Emperor Interrupts the squabble.
Joseph
"My dear, young man, don't take it too hard. Your work is ingenious. It's quality work. And there are simply too many notes, that's all. Cut a few and it will be perfect."

Mozart
"Which few did you have in mind, Majesty?"

That is what I feel like when asked to pull a song out of my ass for the affirmation of others. To choose just one is like death. There is so much music, so much passion. Different things for different days. Today I feel happy I am in love with the childlike Mr. Zebra, today I feel lost and I'm in sync with Girl Disappearing.

The fact that there are so many choices in her body of work are maybe her biggest attributes to music.
There is a vast world of music, terminology, and composition. Tori has carved out her piece for all to see. To look at the Piano collection and know that only touches the tips of that is out there is both amazing, and overwhelming.
Its a dance macabre with which I willingly part take.

For all the amazing people I've come across along the way. I know your journeys are different but the same.... We have very walk and every kind of person amongst us. From Those who think she can do no wrong, to those who love her so much thy fear not picking apart her compositions almost brutally. So often I hear a ting of disrespect from the critic when thy look at the Bee keeper. Like any artist what I see in that is someone who connected more with Tori in Pain and strife, maybe someone not as comfortable with the happiness stranger. I have my Pele moment, I get Me and a Gun I also see the value in Ribbons Undone. Its life in art, where art is at in life. Music picks up where life leave of, and sometimes it leads us to where life is going. I am just content that for now the powers that be still have Tori offering her soul up in whatever form or incarnation she'd bare for all of us to hear.

I am so thrilled to finally see US dates. The wait has been........................................................
seemingly forever, but always closer than it seems.
Time fly's like the albums from one moment to the next
eclipsed in a flames of destruction and joy
wherever thy might find YOU
See you on tour!

Peace, Love and a Hard c**k!
