Bootlegs? Ever Available Again???
I'm curious why would a record company STOP the legal downloading of concerts from a company controlled website? I mean I want to purchase concerts they made available but I dont have $2000 for all the shows at one time. If they wanna keep us from sharing the files like apparently is done why would you curb the LEGAL AVAILABILITY of these shows? It makes no sense. Are they coming out on CD soon? I recently saw where the next generation of fans has completely bought into the downloading of new albums and approximatelty 75% of all new music is downloaded rather than purchased via CD. Maybe I'm one of the last who appreciates the over art and inner sleeves etc. But I have vinyl records still too. Well if new fans want these shows how will they be able to get them? I suppose we will have to share them then and I'm sorry. Wherever there is demand there will be people to supply. I love Tori I have seen her multiple times live on tour since 1998 and am never disappointed by her live. I have many shows dating back to 1992 that are NOT available in her regular released collection and they are treasures that I would gladly share for free if asked. Hell some of these shows should be obtained by the record companies and distributed themselves so we can legally GET them. They WOULD SELL! I love to share the incredible experience of hearing Tori Live with any fans. But if we can legally download them its better for all parties isn't it? Since we can make sure Tori is compensated for her hard work and her creative use of new media to transmit her work I'd gladly download several of these shows.
I'm terribly disappointed about the shut down of this site. I'm left wanting shows I don't know how I can get now. (Sigh) What is a loyal fan to do?

Maybe if the record company sees us complain enough as rabid fans they will think that they can still make money for Tori by re-opening the site??? PLEASE??? Some of us are still poor you know and would like to buy them still,

I do not agree on the CD % being downloaded as my point of view are that downloading are done
because we know little of an Artist but when we begin to know the Artist and like the Artist stuff we buy
it Orginal as we want it orginal if we like it.
Second reason for Downloading is when we do not have the money and personaly I have nothing
against the poor getting to enjoy stuff they never can afford as truth are they are not loosing much money
and most of the time I think greed is an terrible thing and we all have seen such I believe at least at
one point in our lives -heck it are in the media everyday as people starve even though they would not
have to starve if each country put some money into an fond against starvation.....but if it can be made
then why is it not happening? yes greed.
Bootlegs should not be sold as the quality is seldom that good and Bootlegs is the property of the
one who filmed that event or show and if the filmer share his or her work it should stay free.
But as I'm new to this Bootlegs that was on this site I'm not sure what it are about or whom filmed
the event or show....But if the owner of the bootlegs want to sell it then it is the owners right to do so
and yet in my opinion a Bootleg recording should always stay free.
Pro filmed showes or events though they can sell but not Bootleged shows or Events in my opininion
but mind you though that that is only my opinion.
Sometimes I think C.W materia need to be more open to the people (fans) I mean so that everyone
get a chance to enjoy it.....but perhaps I'm to good hearted in a to commercial world?
But some stuff have gotten better and yet some stuff have not but time will show the right way I believe.
Hello Brianbucks, I think the ADP boots will be available to buy, just like TBK boots. I think the Tori Store is setting up a hyperlink to offer the boots again. Also, I received an e-mail from RAINN about a celebrity auction and one of the items up for bid was and ADP boot package. So, I think and hope they will be available for purchase again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Peace...
