Can we have a political or human rights activist forum?
Ya know... like for postings on Awareness ... not so much with the presidential blah blah - sorry, i am jaded really... and a little scared to open up opinions about that on here...
but for instance, a documentary of the hidden history with genocide of indigenous children in Canada with the help of the church? Is that too much for this site?
Thought I would make this a one stop site
I can relate Tori's teachings to just about anything...
So, question fer ya... Should I or shouldn't I share something like that on here?

Replies for this Forum Topic
Tell ya what. I am not going to share the utube thing. Or the Google Tube - wherever it was.
I reposted it somewhere else (not here)- and went back to show a friend - and it had been replaced with another version - with voice-overs and less information - and lite overtones that the individuals were conspiracy theorists. And those individuals who were coming forward about what happened in the 1930s were directly affected... and still living to retell the horrible stories they witnessed. They were understandably emotionally affected with the retelling. THIS you can't fake. I found the original post on utube or Google tube - and saw that it had not been affected... but the one I simply copied and forwarded - had been changed dramatically - tampered with - modified - changed. Bulls***. I figure that with the retelling comes a seriously large class action law suit - so they change whatever they can to minimize the impact. It even included Eugenics as a history lesson so to make clear that Canada was just as "innoscent" as the rest of us during that time...
I wasn't reposting to have it affect Canada. Oh, Canada - I still think they live in much more harmony than most of us in the world... more so the reason I posted it where I did... is because of the curious role that the Church played in it. And how, today, we could be in a similar situation - if we don't learn the lessons of history... The last part of the original tube was extremely effective - wise, and to some large degree profound as it relates to the intended message of the Gospel.
If you are interested in me sending the same? or separate? http address - let me know via private message - and I will try and send both links - one from what I simply copied and pasted from the original link - and the original one that states it clearly.
So, yea - roses, you can joke about it - but it is real. And what does it matter. yeah - there was NO question mark.
Peace = where ever you find it.

My ex told me sometime last year or the year before that he'd heard on talk radio that some girl was crucified over in Europe somewhere, for demonic possession. Did anyone else hear about that? I'm wondering if it's true or not.
Did that really happen in Canada? I read in a college entrance exam that the free press isn't always true, because the government feels the "free" aspect is more important than the truth. ( I decided on a different school.)
Misty...we do have free speech, so any thread is possible. Issues dealing w/ Human Rights have been posted over the last year, whether about the abuse of women in Saudi Arabia, or the plight of a person sentenced to death row, here in our own country. For me, though, my home page is set up that I receive the news occurring around the world, from various news agencies and in two languages. No matter how peaceful the design of my homepage, pink background w/ lotus blossums, the written words sadly don't vary much, violence, more violence, and yet again violence. The suffering of the innocents caught up in all this is treated almost as an afterthought. So by the time I venture further into world wide web mainstream, I've seen enough. Sometimes, I just want to read and blog about music.
Misty...I recall a while back you posted a vegan thread. You were kind enough to warn those who were faint of heart before anyone read your post. I knew better than to read the thread, but I really appreciate the fact you posted a warning. Peace...

Misty,
Not to drag poltics is here, but to quote a potent quotable "The only hing we have to fear is fear itself" As long as you approach any subect, be it poltics, religion, or humanitarian, or general human confltic in a light that does not sourece from fear, then you only have knowledge to gain. But if your reaction comes from fear laced with passion, the veil will remain around that subject and the wheels will reamin squared off in a state of constant defense.
Although I do think its a grea idea to have a thread that is solely for this subject. You will still see nagativity in any thread that dares to deal with what people see as Tabu. Post from the heart of your source, and free from fear. The rest will take care of itself.

if you know me so well tell me which hand I use
Well, I sort of agree. Might as well keep a place for politics in which us non-political people can avoid getting involved. Cos starting a thread about politics will guarantee an endless battle since everyone have their own views and aren't interrested in adapting other people's views, but still feel the need to force their own views upon others....
