tori and books
ahoy there.
so we've all discussed tori's musicality (is that even a word?) and her lyricism. what about the literary side....
i wanna know peoples opinions of the upcoming comic book, and of other stuff they may have read, biographies, piece by piece, etc.
a reason why im now interested in the literary side...is ive had an idea for a book to write...i wanna turn the sonic novel that is scarlet's walk into an actual novel. not that it could ever be published, with the mass copyright infringement and all. but i hought it might be something fun to do. let me know what you think

yo so just a quick thing. i've always loved that line from tori's posse blog 'my eyes burn from listening'. this short story just kinda came to me...and please be brutal...its on my profile.

I believe you will find that the limit for postings in a thread is 1,000 words. Not sure if there is any limit for blogs.

Just as a 'heads up', there is a word count limit on post within threads; so that could make it tough to post on this one without breaking it up. We do have members who post very lengthy things. But I do remember people complaining before about the limits, I'm just not sure what they are. The blog area isn't like that though, so it might suit your needs better.
I know, none of my business, and I should quit putting my nose in; but I can be a little compulsive about trying to help.

yeh, i havent fuly started yet, cos ive got some uni stuff goging on, but ive got a few pages going...once i get the first chpater or so done (im splitting the book into chapters, by the songs...so the first chapter will be amber waves) ill post it here for your viewing pleasure

The 'Scarlet's Walk' album has always been a personal favourite of mine, so I absolutely think that what you're up to is a great idea. Especially because you combine my two passions: Tori and books
I was wondering if there is any way I can read some of it? Only if you want me to, of course... And I was also wondering if your plan is to make a story out of the album 'Scarlet's Walk'? Or am I getting it wrong?

That's really great. Finding the discipline to write something like that on your own is amazing. Several of our creative writers were posting things on their blogs as ways to get feedback, and it was fun feeling like I had a subscription to their brain.

i love piec by piece too, its so poetic and witty all at the same time...
i like the idea of an adp book too...with like a full backstory on the dolls, and theri experiences through the songs....mmm id love to see how 'smokey joe' would pan out. you should do that and ill do scarlets walk. lol

Your book adaptation of Scarlet's Walk is a great idea!
Wasn't Tori's mother an English Literature major (teacher?)--if so, I would guess Literature was introduced to Tori early on, and from what I've read/seen in interviews, she seems to be very well read, and I think that reflects a lot in her writing and music.
I adore Piece by Piece (I think I've read it about 3 times now). It is so personal and special--not only the sections explaining how her songs came to be--but just the insight it gives into who she is as a person, and her thoughts about religion, and life in general just impress me so much.
A novel adaptation of ADP would be interesting too!
