Replies for this Calendar date

I have been watching the reviews of the shows as the Detroit concert date gets closer.
Anyone else getting as excited as I am?
Tori if you read this....
I would really like to hear The Power of Orange Knickers.
That is a request from my daughter Mary. This will be the first time she sees you with a band.
She really wanted to hear that her first two concerts.
Me? well I would like to hear Mainline Cherry Ambientspark
of course Smiling
but Orange Knickers would be just as great to see my daughters face light up.
Its a mom thing Smiling
I am sure you understand.

Love all of your music.
always have, always will....

My Boyfriend and I have bought tickets for the October 27th show in Detroit. We live in Providence RI and will be flying that day for the sole purpose of seeing Tori. We would like to know if any other fans were interested in meeting up for lunch/dinner before or after the show. I know that other fans have done this and I think it would cool to meet other Tori fans and make some new friends.

My boyfriend and I are both sane college students who LOVE Tori. If anyone is interested let us know. We are happy to meet new folks! Smiling Sagitarius121083@yahoo.com

I am really looking forward to the concert and I am not even a big concert person.
If Tori does read this her version of Losing My Religion changed my life.
I would love to hear it.

I am going to the fox theatre show on crutches and I am very nervous! Has anyone else ever been to the fox theatre and can tell me about steps and such? If Tori reads this I would love to hear Hotel Smiling But I am excited to see you again for the second time, wish I would've gone to other shows now, lol. But I would appreciate any feedback from fans that can make me feel better about going on crutches? Has anyone else ever had to? Any Tori fans want to chat I'm at star.girl_81@yahoo

My first Tori Show - Amazing!

Santa followed by a Tori (that had to STOP in the middle of Black Dove to have her corset removed)....blew me away. Everything was so powerful. I hope she enjoyed the Fox.

I was absolutely blown away by her show tonight too!!! And FrankNorthernLad, I just read your post....how fricken' cute is she that she stopped to take off her corset. I was so lucky, my dad and I were in the orchestra pit and we were just in utter amazement the whole time... I can't wait to download the bootleg!

I didn't know who her opening act was going to be beforehand but I knew I'd be impressed. A couple of years ago when I saw her Matt Nathanson opened and I had never heard of him at the time but became an instant fan! Now he's one of my favorites. Anyway, her opener tonight was Yoav (for any of you like me that had a hard time making out his name) and he was amazing. Here's the link to his myspace page:

I have seen Tori many times but she was in her zone last night and I was fortunate enough to be in the audience in the fourth row!!!!! It was as if she was reading my mind and played the songs I was wanting her to play without me ever even telling her. Baker Baker brought tears to my eyes and Carbon was absolutely flawless. Wish she would have finished Black Dove though , corset or not, lol. She is growing more beautiful every time I see her and her song writing is at the top of her game. Some other highlights Code Red, Dragon, Secret Spell, Spark and of course Hey Jupiter. Some of the people sitting around me were ruder than hell. Particularly one 6 foot kid who insisted on standing up to obstruct my view. I paid just as much money as he did, and he was even mimicking me and making fun of me like a two year old. Oh well, I was not about to let him ruin my time at the show and one extremely rude girl on her freaking cell phone several times during the show. What the hell could be so important to interupt a live show I don't know, but she should have removed her carcass from the theater to talk on the phone. The drive was long but I could have drove all night.

Sometimes I think, I think I understand the fear in the boy the fire in the man
Sometimes I watch the wonder in your eyes,
That and you leaving I have memorized.

I'm going to the Louisville show today and I was curious, did Tori do a meet n greet in Detroit? If so, do you know about what time? Thanks

Santa rocked the Fox! I've only been to 3 concerts but this was by far the best I've seen. The sound and lights were amazing. Great song selection, as well. Unforgetable concert. Smiling Thanks Tori!

Santa...I'm a fan. Such a great show. Santa's whole set was high energy. Tori engaged the audience. It was just good fun. T & Bo was intense. Fox Theatre is such a beautiful venue too! I drove with my friend from Ohio and we were not disappointed. We got home at 3am happy and glowing. This is definately one of my favorite tours! I can't wait for the Cleveland show.

We enjoyed the show very much despite both my daughter and I having chest colds one step away from bronchitis. Just wondering if anyone has a song list of what she played. Would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Santa hit the stage with energy and sex appeal and set the tone for the entire night. Tori looked like she was having a ball playing and that made it all the better. Honey and Baker Baker were top moments for me, oh, and when she grabed my hand leaving the stage!

I'll write more later when I have more time. What a night!

I was really hoping for Pip or Clyde, but was blown away by Santa.. shaking when she played "She's Your Cocaine" Laughing out loud and thanks for the positive info I got for being there on crutches.. a little sore today, but not bad. I feel bad for the other wheelchair person I saw! Anyways, good show... just wish she would've continued Black Dove... oh well, I'll hope for it the next time Smiling Oh and nice surprise... she actually kind of turned my boyfriend into a fan and he liked the opening the act as well.

I attended the Detroit show on Oct 27th and loved it as I thought I would. Normally I don't enjoy opening acts of any concert, but I really enjoyed the guy that opened up for Tori. Unfortunately, with his accent it was difficult to understand him when he spoke to the audience and gave his name....TWICE! Does anyone remember the guy's name? I loved his musical talent and would love to pick up a copy of his CD in Jan 2008 when it becomes available.

Thanks!
Jodi

This was my second time seeing Tori, (The first was about 8 years ago when she double headlined with Alanis Morrissette). This show was so much better. I think the beautiful venue and the fact that I had GREAT seats had alot to do with that! I loved hearing Hey Jupiter, that one is one of my favorites. I must admit I don't have Posse yet, after last night I can't wait to get it!

The opening act was fabulous! His name was Yoav, which is why it was so hard to understand when he said it. I bought the (4 track) cd in the lobby and it is just as awesome as he was that night. There's a sticker on the cover that says his full cd will be out Jan 29th. Something to look forward to, I think this guy is going to be HUGE.

I don't see many concerts, and of the concerts I do see, the opening act is usually only so-so. This guy was awesome. I see a lot of people looking for his name, and I believe it is Yoav, which explains why it was difficult for everyone to understand/hear his name. His website is at: http://www.yoavmusic.com/

Anyhow, the concert was amazing, aside from the guy sitting in F4, Row W, Seat 13 who seemed to be trying to impress his date by knowing all the words to Tori's songs, and then breaking down and weeping during 'Cloud on my tongue.' It really wouldn't have been so bad, except he had a very bassy voice. Oh, and the chicks behind me who resorted to kicking my seat because occasionally I took some photos.

Other than being 23 rows back, the concert was amazing, and the Fox Theatre is an awesome venue, as always, for sound and for visual pleasure.

Big thank you to Katie Kowalski, and apologies if I got you in trouble, and thanks to Sherry for the tickets.

Fantastic show, loved it. It's only my 5th Tori show but this was the best! Stage set-up and sound were perfect. The Fox Theater is the best place to see her.

If anyone has the set list for this show I would love to have it.. it seems that the tours section is kind of slacking latey, I would appreciate any help Smiling

I've been a tori Fan Since !992.. And I've never been To A bad show. She is a natural Live singer.. She will always sound better live..She dose not need all that editing they love to do in the Stodio.. I very much enjoyed the show even with the 5 hour dive there and the 5 hour drive back..
