I am new to charlotte..always saw tori in fl , does anyone know which venue she will be playing?

Been going 2 her shows in Charlotte since 94 and they R almost always at Ovens. Come 2 the meet and greet! They're fun. Hope 2 C U there!

I can't wait! I know she puts on an awesome show. Chastian Park Atlanta is still my all time favorite venue. I wonder where in Atlanta she will play this year. If it's Chastain I might have to go to 3 shows instead of just 2 this year. If anyone has any news about Atlanta, please clue me in. P.S. I have some kick ass bootlegs from FL over the past few years if anybody wants to share!

The mere thought of Tori Amos in concert sends a shiver of excitement through me. I'm breaking out in goosebumps all over the place just thinking about it!

I've listened to Tori for about 10 years now and I have to say that this butterfly is in her prime.
I can't wait to see her.

I got front row tickets to that show curteousy of Tori. I sat a little 2 the right and she sang Little Amsterdam 2 me. We had a little eye to eye stuff going on that entire concert. I added U 2 my friends. We're close in age and it would B great 2 keep each other company during the Meet and Greet. I'll B waiting on those cookies!

This will be my 9th Tori show and the 4th time in Charlotte. Welcome home girlie, looking forward to it again!

Been a Tori fan since 92. She is still the greatest. We Tori fans are a unique breed. We get it....

I've been an EWF since 96 and since I just moved here, this is the first time I will be seeing her in CLT. I am originally from Puerto Rico and so far I should have one of my dear friends David go with me to the show, but until his plane ticket is purchased, I am going solo. Anyone around the Rowan County area? Cheers!

Just called Ovens and they confirmed Tori for the 13th. They said you can buy tickets there starting August 11.

Aw Dave, that's so nice of you, thanks! I'm sure EVEN if MY Dave flies in, we would love to meet new friends. We are both social butterflies. And 2 Daves are better than 1. I have added you to my friends here.

Great! My friends and I will get there decently early so I'm sure U won't miss us. I'm going 2 bring some extra CDs 2 give away. We're 2 hours away but after the meet and greet (provided she does one considering the VIP situation) we'll all go grab a bite B4 the show. Stay in touch!

I know Tori is coming to Ovens Auditorioum on November 13th, and the VIP Packages are going to be on sale at 10am on August 8th for the VIP Packages, however, does anyone know why Ticketmaster's website does not have the Charlotte date but every other date listed on their website?

I called the Charlotte Ticketmaster and they basically told me they had no information on that date, I do not know what that is all about.

Maybe I'm just wigging out because I want to make sure I get the Platinum VIP Package on Wed (10am) morning when Toristore.com says the Charlotte VIP Packages go on sale at the Ticketmaster website for VIP packages promos.

If anyone has any information regarding this, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking forward to seeing Tori in Charlotte again in November. I saw her at the Performing Arts Center in Charlotte way back in 1994, it was the Under the Pink tour, and yes, I was probably the oldest guy in the audience even back then. I have been a huge Tori fan ever since. I've seen her at Ovens probably three times and once at the Verizon, which was not a great venue for such a personal artist. Ovens is good. The Performing Arts Center was great ... fantastic sound ... but maybe a little sedate for Tori in 1994. She rocked the house. She's the most dynamic live performer I've ever seen. She has never disappointed me. If you are going to see her for the first time, believe me, you are in for a treet.

Ticketmaster says they DO NOT have Tori scheduled for November 13 at Ovens in Charlotte. I called them today to find out why the NC venue is not posted on their website......eeekkk! I am worried. Atlanta anyone? No, seriously.... I really think Ticketmaster screwed up and that the Tori team should know about it.....so here I go with my LOUD self!!!! HELP!!!!!

SCKORB- I heard there was NOT going 2 B a VIP ticket sale for the Charlotte venue. It was just going 2 B a regular concert. Ticketmaster is slow adding the date but this isn't uncommon. The show isnt' until November.

SOUTHERN LAD- that was my first Tori show also! Did U C Neil Gaimon and Tori's parent's there? Did U C her after the show? There were only about 10-15 people there at the time so I'm sure I saw U. Tori was wearing a red and white striped blouse with overalls. Been 2 every Charlotte show since. I've had 2 have seen U so make yoruself known this time and say HI!

I do remember Tori's dad at that 1994 PAC concert. She even introduced her family from the stage. She usually has Charlotte-area family at the Charlotte shows, which makes them cool. It was an incredible show. As I recall, it was soon after the death of Kurt Cobain, and she did her fantastic version of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit.' It would raise the hairs on your head. She did other covers that night, like Angie and maybe Landslide. I was STUNNED at the way she rode that piano bench.... Good lord, this woman has power! Heh, heh. I fell for her that night and she remains my favorite musical artist today.

I am so excited, I was able to get VIP tickets for myself and my dear friend David who will trek a few thousand miles on the Atlantic to get to the only Tori concert he's been to. The tickets were priced quite steep and they probably "broke our bank" but I know it will be worth it. See you there! xx

Talk about BS!! I was online 4 tickets B4 they even went onsale and it kept telling me they werent' availible. I even had Ovens on one line, then Ticketmaster. The lady tried 2 tell me they were sold out while I told her no cause I've been online since B4 they went on sale so how is that possible???!What a mess!! Anyhow... my friends and I managed 2 score 4 Gold Tickets so I'm looking very forward 2 the sound check. Hope everyone had good luck with all this crap the VIPs tickets caused (125 for Gold, 175 for Platinum) !!!! Ovens said they're sold out now. C everyone at the show!!!

That's GREAT!!! So we'll definately C U at Sound Check. I'm happy your friend is making it. I have my sister and 2 other girls going with me. We always bring memoriabilia and stuff 2 share. We're a couple hours away also so we'll have some time 2 burn between sound check and concert. We're going 2 have so much fun!! I'll trade more personal info B4 the show so we're in touch. Excited!!!

OH I SEE !!! You have to get online BEFORE they go onsale to get the good seats. I am grumpy.

That's how it always is. U can't wait on these things. They were sold out in minutes. U never know though, weird things happen and tickets become availible. I'd still check the actual ticket office, if I were U.

That's awesome about your Gold tix! I got online about 15 minutes before 10 and just kept refreshing the window when 9:58 came, until the second it was 10am, I was able to easily purchase the Platinum ones. i can't get them until saturday--they aren't on sale yet

Hi there. What goes on sale on Saturday, August 11 are tickets for the General Public. Ticketmaster.com held two "Pre-Sales" starting today at 10am. One of them was the iTunes Presale if you Pre-ordered American Doll Posse through iTunes. That one required a password. The other Presale was the second round of VIP ticket sales. This one included the Charlotte show. From what I can tell. VIP tickets for this show have already sold out, but you never know. I hope this cleared up some of your confusion.

GRRR ... I was called into a meeting right at 10 a.m., when I was trying to use my iTunes password. When I came back at 10:30, the Nov. 13 Charlotte date was nowhere on Ticketmaster. Very aggravating. I finally clicked on the Tori Amos calendar on Ticketmaster, navigated to November and used the link there to get to the ticket sale. I got decent tickets, 8 rows back. Cost and arm, leg and one more organ of your choice .... $8 ticket fee!

Glad U got them. A lot of people, like myself, had difficulties. I've got a group of 4 with me and am meeting 2 other very nice "Ears With Feet" so if U aren't bringing anyone (or even if U R) U R more than welcome 2 join us. We'll have a fun group lunch after the M&G and B4 the show. My friends R very down 2 earth and mannered (unlike myself )

People that have been to the Ovens area, what places are best to eat around there? Looking for options.

I've always brought cameras into concerts. Some venues are more strict than others. Ovens information says this, as usual for venues:

Prohibited Items
* Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
* Audio equipment
* Bags/Backpacks
* Camera bags
* Camera lenses longer than 3 inches
* Digital cameras with video capabilities
Cameras
Some Ovens Auditorium events allow fans to take pictures without flash, but many do not. If you bring your camera and the event does not allow it inside, you must return it to your vehicle. Call the Box Office at 704-335-3100 for the camera policy on a particular event.

we actually called ticketmaster ahead of time (becaues for some reason the event wasn't posted on their page the day before) and asked about it and they told us vip tickets didn't go on sale until saturday.

turns out they were talking about vip parking. needless to say i'm thoroughly pissed.

I'm definitley going to be going to this show, and I'd love to get VIP tickets, but it seems they're all sold out??? Is this true?

Anyone know about the Atlanta show?
