I've watched this website for sometime, as well as my favorite site HERE IN MY HEAD, and decided it was time. I've been a Tori fan for several years, and find myself in very thin company with people who share my love of her music. I don't know about the rest of you all, but I get a lot of sideways looks as a straight guy, even from close friends, when they ask me what kind of music i like, or who's my favorite artist.....
and finally scoring a pair of tickets for the first time I feel as if i'm coming full circle as a fan.
I finally get to see her play. Tori and her sacred Bösendorfer. It's about time.
guess i'm just looking for those who do understand.
Best wishes to all.

Hey
HERE IN MY HEAD is an awesome site indeed
. i still owe those people big time for sharing music from Tori's gig at Rock Werchter Festival....
) or obsessed, lol.
?? Hope not...
i know what you mean when it comes to sideways looks... yet people just call me a freak (the term freak is only popular if you’re a member of Radiohead
i guess people really need labels and we, Ears With Feet, just refuse to be labelled and that makes them anxious. Are we an endangered species
Take care, Sam'ke..

Hi and welcome
HI , I'm a 59 year old straight male and I agree with you. No one I know knows anything about Tori but that does not stop me from talking Tori to whomever I meet. I have felt strange for having Tori in my head and heart but I am proud to be a member of the Tori community and I will see her in November.
Enjoy yourself here and welcome

Hello and welcome from UK fan
Just to add to the numbers!... I'm also a straight guy who shares your love of Tori's music... perhaps there's more of us than we think.
Do ya know, I've never really thought about gay or straight guys being into Tori Amos until I read your comments... so naive... I mean.. of course I've noticed a few gay couples.. both men and women at the concerts, but never really considered it before...so were in the minority as straight guys into Tori Amos. Ironically, my younger brother is gay and he doesn't like Tori!!
I have to say though, I share your experience of finding a lack of friends in general that have even heard of Tori Amos... some know the name and remember Cornflake Girl but many haven't a clue who I'm talking about....they don't know what there're missing...
HI
I think it's great that you're a straight guy who loves Tori. I really wish that people would learn to appreciate music simply for the music itself. If people would have always rejected wonderful music simply because of who composed it we would be without many wonderful well known classic songs today. Don't get me wrong, I love Tori as an artist too, but how people reject her music simply because they're a straight man bewilders me. My husband likes some of her songs, but isn't a very big fan. Sometimes I sit and wonder just how in the world what she plays doesn't affect him the way it does me. Hope you have a great time at your first Tori concert!
