Is it ok to clap & dance in your seat to certain songs @ a Tori concert?
I know I'd wanna stand up & get down if she played Raspberry Swirl!

I went to the November 10 show in Omaha, NE, and I gotta say, most of the crowd, for most of the show, sat back like they were watching a DVD or something. I'm all for being polite and respectful towards your fellow audience members, but for Christ's sake, have a pulse or something. It's a concert, people. A live show. Not a movie. Go ahead and show a little enthusiasm.
Well, there is being up tight and there is being callow. Hopefully everyone will aim for something in the middle. No one should have to sacrifice their version of a good time for someone else.

Beware the man not moved by sound.
Do your own thing, so long as you dont SHOUT the lyrics, feel free to sing along softly. Feel the music, dance to it just dont be obnoxious and I think if anyone faults you for a primal physical response, they are far to uptight to listen to tori anyway.

Devils and Gods, they are you and I.
Devils and Gods, safe and inside.
i plan on being up and rocking if pip comes out. i've been going to tori shows since she played the tla in philadelphia during the little earthquakes tour. there are shows where sitting in your seat is appropriate and then there are shows that demand you to get up, dance, and rock out. (anyone who went to the plugged tour knows what i'm talking about!)
typically when tori's with a band, she rocks out. if you want to sit through the whole show, that's cool, but don't be upset with people who won't follow suit. if it bugs you that much, just wait for her to come back solo and watch this tour on dvd.
i have never sat at a tori concert, i just watched against the wall not to disturb the ppl behind me... i just have to dance. its my little ritual. good thing this time ill be in a all standing area in front of the stage!

Everybody knows if they walk into my life they’ll never know when they’ll end up in a song. If you walk into a room where I am, you’ll be in a mill – if you’re interesting. If I’m good, you won’t know it’s you.

Well, this is one of those things that can get hotly debated. I don't think a little chair dancing ever hurt anyone, but it does hinge on the people around you. If you are standing up, you are blocking the view of those around you. Even if they were to stand too, they may be too short to see over you. A lot of the hard core original fans savor the quiet of the crowd, it means they get a much better listen to Tori; and they feel it is being respectful to both her and those around them. (I fall in that camp
) Also, some people don't understand boundaries; it starts with them clapping and a little bounce here and there and evolves into some drunk chick behind you who thinks you paid $65 a seat to listen to her slurring tearful version of 'Winter' over the top of Tori. The thing is, Tori just isn't your typical Pop show; and it is easy for people to be unsure how to conduct themselves. There is even a story of Tori doing a show in Atlanta and stopping to telling a drunk screamer that this wasn't that sort of show. I wasn't there, but I've heard about it from several forum members - and they were still angry at the person.

oh me too, that would be awesome, yeh it kinda shat me that people sat through it, especially at the professional widow interlude, me and my friend were fully rocking out (albeit in our chairs), but towards the end, heaps of people were in the aisles dancing to bouncing off clouds
