Just got back from the San Antonio show and it was amazing! Is it absolutely set in stone that it will not be released with Legs and Boots?

San Antonio AT45 m3 d26 report continued-

And then we got to see what we came for- the awe, the wonder, the
pure genius, the supernova brilliance, the embodiment of perfection
beyond the infinite that is our favorite piano goddess.

Her performance just plain rocked. Really cool how the elaborate
light show contrasted with the almost spartan stage set up. The tiny
purple lights on the black backdrop reminded me of a weird star
field. Mental note: get purple Christmas lights for next year
Eye-wink

It was a great setlist, a great mix of ADP songs along with her older
work. She really got the audience involved with "Big Wheel".

I've only had the opportunity to see a two other shows prior to this
one (FtGH in '98 and SW in May '03) and I know all of her shows rock,
but I think this is one where I've had the most fun. At the time I
had a huge project in my class, a lot of stress about it, and that
night was just a really great escape from that. But beyond that,
there's just something about a Tori show that is so hard to describe,
the same as it's difficult to really put into words how her music
resonates with her fans. Seeing the energy and intensity she puts
into her music is an inspiration to pursue what one is truly
passionate about, and that one is never too old to still get out
there and have cool things going on in one's life Eye-wink

When the show was over that energy was still there, not a letdown
feeling one would expect. I made my way outside and back to the rear
of the theatre in case she might do the m and g, and got to hang out
some more with other fans, and had a great time talking about what a
blast the show was. But I had to leave at 11:30pm because my ride
home was arriving and I think we had gotten the word officially that
she wasn't going to be able to do the m and g. Someone in the crowd
reminded all of us that while it's disappointing that we didn't get
to meet her and didn't get autographs, that we still got one
excellent concert that night, not to mention all the cool music over
the years.

Very true. Overall, still a phenomenal beyond the infinite show. If
she was performing on Z'ha'dum I would make the trip without a
millisecond's hesitation.

That's all for now, hoping everyone's holidays have been great. And
Happy Festivus! Eye-wink

And the first day of next month is simply day 1 of month 4.

check out the blog. My animation project is there along with my
earlier projects, including a Tori video I made:

My (very late) account of the Tori show in San Antonio on AT45 m3 d26

Late I know but the end of the semester and the holidays really kept
me busy the past few weeks.

The concert, originally meant to be in Austin, was moved to the
Majestic Theatre, and the announcement was made far enough in advance
for me to make plans to attend the show. Ordering a ticket for
wheelchair accessible seating online was initially very nerve-
wracking but ultimately went well, although I had to make a phone
call a week or so after ordering the ticket to find out I wasn't
getting an actual ticket in the mail but it was a will-call ticket at
the box office that I could pick up the day of the concert.

The 26th arrived and with my power chair going alone was very easy- I
got to the theatre around noon so I need to kill some time before the
estimate time the meet and greet might start, and the weather was
only slightly chilly but otherwise nice so it was easy to head down
the street to get lunch, then head back to the theatre. I didn't see
much going on at the front of the theatre so I went around the block
to the back and found a group of EWFs waiting. Met some really cool
people, including a few people around my age, so I didn't feel too
old being there Eye-wink

To anyone who there, I apologize for talking so much, my enthusiasm
gets the best of me sometimes. And it's difficult *not* to get
excited about a Tori concert Eye-wink I was the guy in the grey and blue
striped shirt.

It turned out as we waited that there wasn't going to be a meet and
greet that day, but even after we were first told, we still held out
waiting just in case, and a good four hours just flew by as we all
chatted with each other about other Tori shows we'd seen and in
general about why we're so into her music.

But unfortunately in the end there was no m and g that afternoon, so
around 5 I headed out in search of a place to get dinner, and came
back around 7 to the theatre, got my *real* ticket from the box
office, and met more people in front and chatted more about how lucky
it was the show was moved to San Antonio.

Getting in was easy, a lot of people going in but not a huge crowd,
and one of those rare occasions where I'm wheeling around and not
feeling like I'm in anyone's way. And fellow EWFs are always really
helpful Eye-wink

My actual "seat", a parking spot for myself in my chair, was near the
front on the right side of the theatre, but the slope of the floor
made that spot high enough that I wasn't blocking the view for people
behind me, and my view wasn't blocked by the people in front of me.

Great opening act- need to find his CD.

Not the best show.. probably half as good as the show in Boston (Oct. 18, 2007). I'm a big tori fan and been to many of her concerts.... but I'm sad to say the show in san antonio (11/26/07) was mediocre. Her show in Boston was also like 15 min longer...what's wrong with San Antonio Tori? you seemed in such a hurry Sad

No it was not that great.... I was disappointed. It was half as good as the concert in Boston on Oct. 18 2007. Glad I was able to make it to that one.

Indigrufus...I've been unable to find a San Antonio set list. I believe it's not being offered on the boots and legs either. I noticed Tori and Jon Evans, the bass player, were very frustrated with the sound. Mr. Jon at one point was emphatically pointing in a downward motion at a sound man, stage right. A few moments later, Tori was playing an intro, spun around from her keyboard and glared right a the guitar player and made the same downward pointing motion with her hand. She did not look happy, to say the least. I guessing because of the sound problems we aren't going to get a boot leg. Too bad for us, the show was great otherwise. We got our pictures back yesterday, and they are a bust! We got an excellent picture of Yoav (he's adorable), and the boesendorpher after the show. I think I guessed very wrong with the film speed, 800. As a result of the amazing light show, every picture of Tori looks like an acid trip. We got one of Isabel that looks as scary as hell.

Does anyone have a setlist for the show? I went... but the night was such a blur that I could barely think of half of the songs she played the second I left. It was my first Tori show... and she BLEW me away. I was hoping for anyone but Isabel to come out - and of course that's who strolled out, but it was a really nice set and I was in no way disappointed. I can't imagine a better show opener than Yo George.

It was amazing to hear Pretty Good Year live... and Big Wheel was so fun. I was really upset when I found out about the venue change and that my General Admission seats were now Row M, but the venue was beautiful - and so was San Antonio, so I didn't mind so much. The only real problem is that I didn't get one single decent picture... and she looked so stunning!

I have not heard anything about a live DVD but I certainly didn't see any camera men around during the show.

I can not believe how beautiful the San Antonio 'Majestic' Show was. Yoav was just a darling, I actually wished he could have played a little more. We got a visit from Isabel. She sang and moved, swinging a lantern in her keyboard free hand. It had such a surreal effect. Then Tori came out in a silver sequined jump suit, which was backless. (She is in awesome shape!) She played extended versions of 'Bells for Her,' and 'Yes, Anastasia.' Tori's prowess on her keyboards will resonate in my soul forever. She suprised me by singing 'God,' and when she started the intro to 'Pretty Good Year,' I thought could this really be happening? A funny thing happened during the song, when Tori sang the line 'Let me tell you something about America,' the audience suddenly started cheering and whistling, there I was waiting for my favorite lines, 'How pretty She is, How pretty She can be,' and then came the strangest moment. I think Tori was not expecting the rise out of the audience, she glanced at the people then back at her piano, her green eyes opened wide and seemingly stunned, she dropped the lines. She made a great recovery by improvising on her piano and singing the chorus. LOL...Oh Tori Amos, we really do believe in what you sing. Thanks for sharing your gift with us.

OMG! The San Antonio show was AMAZING!!! I can't believe she did a complete version of Yes, Anastasia, and the intro to Bells For Her was stunningly beautiful. It was funny me and my friend that I went with had been talking amongst ourselves about what songs we wanted and she said "If Tori plays Yes, Anastasia all the way through, she will have made my life and really, really be my hero." You can imagine her face when Tori did this. Mountain is one of my favorite b-sides and I was so happy when she did it because she never does it and it was wonderful. She was in great spirits, and really played with the crowd, it was the best show I've ever seen next to the RAINN concert and it will remain in my mind forever. New Age was a great opener and I really like Isabel now due to it. Butterfly, I almost peed myself when she did it i was so excited to finally hear it live and in person. I was so happy that she did God and I loved her post- Sweet Sangria story. I pray that this comes up as a boot or that some kind soul out there taped it and is willing to make copies because this is a show that I would love to keep reliving.

Who was she is San Antonio? I seen the Dallas show, it was great also.
