I'm a fan of Tori Amos for she's the most authentic artist I've ever seen and heard. She has everything that a young girl, loving music and searching for the Truth, could need; has a marvellous voice, impressive talent and a lot of ''really deep thoughts'' shown in lyrics and interviews.
The very first songs of Tori that I've heard were: ''Sweet the Sting'', ''Sleeps with Butterflies'' (that's why ''The Beekeeper'' is my beloved album), ''Precious Things'', ''Winter'', ''Sorta Fairytale''. Each of them made a different impression on me and each of them has made me cry at least once. I don't know whether I could describe this feeling even if my English were better than it is. But you're all the Fans so you can perfectly understand what I mean.
A few months ago I was at her concert in Warsaw and can say it was easily the most beautiful evening in my short life. The most TRUE performance that can be imagined. Afterwards, I've read that Tori had been playing with her arm turned! That makes me wonder what it means to be a talented musician- how many sacrifices she has to take. That night I left the concert hall thinking: ''I'll be her fan 'till death'' Well, being a fan turns out to be a complicated thing- you can't really say why you adore a musician, as well as you can't say why you love someone. It is a kind of love. And a part of ME, as a person.
One more thing: The title of this note has been taken from an Enya's song called 'Flora's Secret'. I'm a little bit obsessed with all verses that concern the Moon - my nickname, Gealach, is actually an Irish word for 'Moon'.
and that's all... Love to all of you, guys!
