yay! Dutch looks really great! "Peperkoek" is "Pumpernikiel" in Polish, but this word seems funny even for the Poles Yeah, my language is VERY difficult. But some foreigners managed to learn it - and we created a special TV program for them to have fun when they try speaking!! Lol Even Poles have a lot of problems with it; I have 7 hours of Polish language every week at school.

Waw, the Polish word for "Moon" is so different but it looks cool . I like the word moon (in Dutch it's very similar to English: "Maan" ).
Another Dutch word I really like is "Peperkoek" : "Ginger bread" and there's a dialect word for "a swing" I really like as well: Bize-bèze --> becuz the second language in Belgium is French a lot of dialect words come from that language and should be pronounced with a French accent... (in proper Dutch it's: Schommel).
It comes for a nursery rhyme that everyone sings when on the swing and that everyone on the forum will be able to pronounce for it's just nonsense !

Thanks! When I read these posts I start loving this idea too I've always believed that our own languages are the most precious parts of our cultures.

cool idea "Stiekem" in Polish is "Chyłkiem" - similarly a bit. I think my favourite word is "księżyc" - "the moon" (it's the meaning of my Gaelic nickname ) There are also some funny words only Poles can pronounce like "zamążpójście" ("marriage").

Such lovely languages!!! Aren't we extremely lucky to be living in a continent so full of different cultures!!! Again: Gealach, this was the best idea ever!!!
