"And you?" - a new game
I thought of a new game that I thought would be fun. It is sort of related to "questions and answers", but different. Someone states a fact about themselves, and follows it with the question"And you?". And the next person to reply says whether it is true or not for them, and states a fact and the question "And you?". Here's an example:
- "I like chocolate chips in my peanut butter cookies. And you?"
- "No, I can't eat them because I am allergic to peanuts.
- I love to ride on trains. And you?"
Obviously those are just made up, but I thought it might be a fun way to see what we have in common.

Very Interesting to read about your way toward dreams---thank you for sharing that....
No as we do not really had such bad storms where I live + that I never feared nature but I do respect
her powers.
I have a fear toward Insects (specially those with long legs)
And You??

There are dreams I wake up from that I feel as if I were just on the cusp of learning something so profound. Certain forgotten truths all but lost to our modern world. These dreams leave me with a feeling of hope and a desire to know, to reach beyond this very time and space. Others leave me euphoric, as riding a horse beneath a nocturnal sky filled with stars. These leave me wanting to go back, if just for a visit. Some dreams can really frustrate me. Especially when I dream of loved ones who have left this Earthly abode, to exist in other realms. I find myself so frustrated that I didn't grab hold of them and talk to them. Tell them how much I love and miss them. The worst of my dreams are of course nightmares, especially ones I have trouble waking from. I call them eternal wakening dreams, and these leave me exhausted and emotionally shaken. I have yet to gain a foothold of lucid dreaming, where I can remove my sub - conscious or dream self out of a frightening situation. In the end, I value all my dreams good, bad, and ugly, as I believe they are means of listening and learning about myself.
Have you ever experienced a storm so intense (severe weather), that you feared for your own life? If so, what were the things you said to yourself and others around you to get you through the experience?

My consept of time is bad but I think it was two years ago and it was a Twin Rainbow meaning that two
big ones at once the other behind the other but a bit more to the right and over the left side where the first
one did hit the ground and I am this kind of an person that can stare at such for a long time and I did
until it had faded away (Magick beauty (the thing that went through my mind with a kind of peace
and somehow wanted to fly through its colors for a while.
At some times when I had some dreams it made me sad to wake from them with a kind of wish of
staying within a kind of lie (bliss) forever...and yet time after when thinking it through it would become
to stale if life was set up like somekind of everything wanted never ending story...and reality do at
moments have some surprises and new touch to the desire of this life so in the end I'm glad with
it all for everything seam to lead to something else but aw course everything is of both Good and Bad
and some Bad can be good to learn from and yet some bad should never be.
Sp How about you? have you wished not to wake from some dreams and then afterwards your
thought about it?
That's actually a very beautiful sight!! To see the rain fall while the sun is shining
And then - if you're lucky - you'll find a rainbow somewhere
The last time I saw a rainbow was last summer when I went to a concert and it started raining.. It was sooo beautiful, it was one of those that filled the whole sky. And when was the last time you saw one?

"Excuse me, but can I be you for a while? My dog won't bite if you sit real still"
When it rains here in indy, i love to play in it. but sadly, lately it's been far too cold to play in.
What i like best is when the sun is beating like crazy and it starts pouring down rain!!! and you?

AH...what a delicious way to spend a beautiful afternoon. Oddly enough I don't listen to music much when I'm in the park. I think I'm overdue for an afternoon like this. Thanks for the inspiration.
It doesn't rain much where I live so when it happens, I go out in it a get soaking wet. Do you take walks in the rain?

I also like to watch without having to wait!! It's so frustrating when you have to wait like 6 months before the next episode is on - I almost feel like losing interest in the tv show, but once it comes on again, the interest is back

The weather here in Denmark is just marvellous, and I've just spent the whole afternoon lying in the sun listening to Tori. And you? (Do you have afternoons like these?)
Love, AH

I agree that the feel of things at night is very different, and I enjoy the change of mood.
I have gotten hooked on several shows after they went off the air, and into reruns. In a way it is kind of nice, because instead of having to wait to see them once a week, I can watch them each day. (I love Tivo, it is great at recording things for me, even if I forget to tell it to.) The different schedule is especially nice for things that are dramas, or suspense. I like watching without the wait to find out what happened next. And you?

My consept of that is wide and to an amount those thoughts pass through me as well....
and also onto the human nature and why and so on to our nature and that some things are this and
other things that...
But now onward to your question...
Yes if it are a real good one it would make me laugh as well but my humor or what would make me
laugh more is real life events like if someone would to stumble in a funny way -lol- and such.
I can and do at times hold confort to darkness and can find myself more at peace in the night far away
from the sounds of the day finding a kind a place with my thoughts that darkness only could bring.
I assume you meant to add "And you?", so I am going go ahead and answer.
I do like to think about big ideas and concepts, but I tend to focus on the idea of the individual versus society. I think the potential for good and evil exist in each of us. From that point forward, it is a matter of whether we do things based on our own personal values, or because we were conditioned to by the mores of our societal group. So I keep turning it over in my head whether it is nature vs. nurture, or part vs. whole. It is that alchemy where all of those things come together to make us human that fascinates me.
I am a huge fan of puns. I think because they were the first jokes I really enjoyed as a kid. And to this day, a clever pun makes me laugh like crazy, usually while someone else is just rolling their eyes at how silly the pun is. And you?

My dreams to strange and not sure why but always contain one part freaking me out and another part as
message in a way to myself.
but favo would be those moments of that house in Scottland that return to me where I am as an poet
are sitting and writing and taking walks out into the highlands.....it is more then dream though and
something that may happen one day for real (to start a life there)
I like to talk in my mind a lot and think about answers to the universal things and toward why the creation
evil & good life and death and such things and it has also reflected much in my poetry too.
eyescoldandgrey...you got me moving and I forgot I dyed my hair red today. Everytime I read your forum name that line follows in my mind. Anyways, I love doing all of the craft work you mentioned. If I'm not reading a book and I'm watching a movie on T.V., I can't sit with my hands idle. I've got to be doing something with my hands. I find it relaxes me, even when I'm just listening to music. Beading is getting a bit too expensive, so it's mostly sewing, sketching and scrap booking. This year I want to make gifts for my family and friends.
What is the favorite theme of your sleep dreams? Mine is riding a horse at night.

I haven't been many places, so i can't say that i've ever seen a place that i have visited on television. But yes, when i see people i know on television it is pretty cool.
I am obsessed with crafting things, sewing, weaving, making jewelry, scapbooking, photography, painting, sketching, etc. I absolutely love finding new crafty things to do...And you?

I'm an avid procrastinator, I always find something else to do besides what I'm supposed to do.....
Anyway, I'm answering the wrong question.... (procrastinating again)(was actually supposed to take a walk 3 hours ago as well...)
I don't like to touch spiders, but I dont mind them either. The only place I don't like them is in my bed, shoes or clothes, then I'll off them. But if they're anywhere else in the house I leave them be, they eat flies and other annoying bugs, you know. Spiders are useful creatures of the house.
I always get all giddy when I see people I know or places I've been on TV. There's an area of Bergen that was used for a scene in The Golden Compass, and when I saw it the first time my stomach curled. And you?

I know what you mean - I multi-task too, especially at work. Sometimes I have 7 things going on at the same time, but I like it
It keeps me occupied
And you?
I don't like spiders!! And especially when the weather is good, there are tons of them ... Whenever I see a big one, I'm ready to go to my neighbour to let him make it go away

"Excuse me, but can I be you for a while? My dog won't bite if you sit real still"
I have one pet, (it is either that or a million, it is about limits for me), but she was adopted out of a litter that was bound for a shelter. I strongly encourage people to adopt, and I donate to my local animal shelter.
I am rarely doing just one thing at a time, in fact if I'm not multi-tasking I feel lazy. And you?

I love all creatures. However, some do not love me. It's a strange irony that I posted the 'Bee Keepers' thread when I am highly allergic to bee venom. A sting is not sweet for me, it's a trip to the emergency room. Also, I help tend a herd of wild deer in the local park, and was gored by one several years back. Yet, another trip to the ER. So, despite the mishaps, I still adore them. I've just have come to respect wild animals as just that, wild and unpredictable. Peace...
My pets have all come into my life via shelters, pounds or off the streets. I don't own any purebreed cats or dogs. Does anyone else have a rag tag lot?

I know what you mean, but for me it is usually during shopping. Trying to be patient and wait for them to decide, when they are standing directly in front of what I want and I'm in a hurry; that sort of thing. You want to be respectful, but not be pitying or treat them like they aren't regular people.
Animals like me, all of them. "Mean"dogs, shy cats, wild animals, you name it. I have no idea how or why it works that way. I do love animals, and enjoy that they like me too, but had no idea that it was different for other people until I was in grade school.
It is one of the ways I am "weird", but I don't mind. And you?

I usually run like 5 km (I don't know how much that is in miles?) whenever I visit my parents. They live near a really good 'running road'
However, I don't visit them as often as I'd want to, and therefore I don't run as much as I'd want to, either... But I do use my bicycle every day, and I do climb like 200 stairs every day - so I'm still in a little bit of shape
And you?
When walking on the street, I don't like passing elder people who don't walk that fast, because I don't want to make them feel sorry about not being able to walk that well when seeing me running by.. I know it's stupid, but I still tend to slow down when passing them

"Excuse me, but can I be you for a while? My dog won't bite if you sit real still"
I love spring-time, and I love watching wildlife, but birds are so common it's not that muh fun to watch them. Feeding them, however, can be quite fun. Met some sparrows at Orana Wildlife Park in New Zealand that were cheeky enough to grab food from my mouth. Their feathers tickled my cheek.
When I was younger I wanted to be a zoologist and study wildlife in Africa.
I like going to the gym and have a good workout session, but I don't have the dicipline to do it often enough for it to benefit me. I want to lose a few kilos(that's right, metric system!) but it's not going to happen at this rate... And you?

I do like being able to choose something I don't have to cook.
I have a very small front porch area, but two different pairs of birds are nesting there.
I love seeing wild animals, especially in the Spring. And you?

I did have a tendancy to worry all the time, but during the last years I've learned to relax and take it easy
And you?
I like eating at restaurants. The ambiance at those places is just so nice and comfortable, and of course the food is much better than the one I make myself
--
"Excuse me, but can I be you for a while? My dog won't bite if you sit real still"
Absolutely. I don't really throw myself at something until I can see the due date approaching. I think I am more likely to discipline my tendency to be distracted if I know time is running out.
I also have a tendency to worry; about everything. It is like I think that if I relax, everything will fall apart and never go back together again. And you?
--

Yeah me too. I get all lioness-like when other people are threatened or hurt - I'm a Leo, you see - but when someone is having a go at me I'd rather ignore them or try to mollify them.
I work really well under pressure. I find that if I know I have a lot of time to do something, it only gets done at the last minute when the stress is forcing me to do it. And you?
I like learning just about anything new, so I would definitely watch.
I am much more likely to stand up for someone else than for myself.
And you?

I think it would be hard for a lot of people to imagine themselves living on another planet - still, I think it sounds kind of cool
Especially if the planet is Venus after a Pele blow
And you?
I like to watch when assistants in shops wrap my gifts... Even though it may distract them

"Excuse me, but can I be you for a while? My dog won't bite if you sit real still"
I love the fresh smell of spring and summer in the air.
Waking up to the birds chirping outside my window is a positive way to be thankful for the still green earth that I live on.
I couldn't imagine living on any other planet in the universe, unless it was on Venus after a Pele blow~

I think I was a bit of an outsider - I was being teased in the middle grades, but then later I got 'accepted' ...
I love it when the birds are singing (and waking me up in the morning). And you?

"Excuse me, but can I be you for a while? My dog won't bite if you sit real still"
I tend to keep things to myself..... until I get drunk.. Secrets tend to pour out of me when I drink, I am trying to change it, but it's not easy. It's very unfortunate cos I not only tell my own secrets, I tell others as well. I've lost some good friends because of it. I try not to do it, and I hate myself for doing it. I think it comes from childhood as a way of seeking attention. I didn't get much attention from the kids around me,so when I actually had something to tell, I loved the attention I got. From that it's developed into a really bad habit.
I was a loner and an outsider as a child. And you?

It depends on if I wanted to go to the party in the first place. If I am going out of an obligation, then I hate it and feel like it is putting on a mask. But if I want to go, then I don't mind it so much.
I have a really hard time "holding my tongue" or keeping my thoughts to myself when I disagree with someone.

lilytoo.. You've inspired me
Now, I feel like there are tons of wonderful things to do... Thanks!!
As for your question.. My simpliest joy in life must be taking a bath during the day. I don't know why, but it just makes me happy to just relax in the bath and then come out all clean afterwards
I don't like dressing up for theme parties... And you?
--
"Excuse me, but can I be you for a while? My dog won't bite if you sit real still"
There is always something to do. For me very simple things like reading a book of Poetry in the park, or writing my own thoughts down or sketching birds and flowers in my journal. Sometimes, I like closing my eyes in the park and trying to remember the sounds I can hear, by being still, leaves trembling on branches, a multitude of bird songs, the approaching footsteps of other people walking down the path and so on.
What's the simpliest joy you experience in life?

Hey Anette, funny you should ask that question! I've had my current work for a year and a half now, and I still absolutely LOVE it! People call me crazy because I actually look forward to go to work most of the time - but I just consider myself lucky to have found such a good work with such good colleagues
I like to be occupied during the weekends.. With friend reunions, parties etc. And whenever I've got a weekend when I've got nothing to do at all, I get so depressed
And you?

"Excuse me, but can I be you for a while? My dog won't bite if you sit real still"
No alcohol for me this weekend, I'm working! I'm ending the week with a bit of extra cash in my pocket.
I like my job very much, the scenery constantly changes, I don't work with the same people every day, and I work varying hours of the day. I work weekends and holidays, made some good bucks over Easter.. It's never a dull day on the train! How about you?
--
Anette
Not I, sleep never comes easy. I can't even handle he snooze button. after 30 minutes I'd still be praying for the sleep fairy to visit me. *gigglz*
I think I'm going to end the week with a well earned glass of Merlot.
And you?
--
if you know me so well tell me which hand I use
You're absolutely right, BC! I love it when I'm drawn into a book that makes me feel like I'm in another world - that's what Neil Gaiman does to me these days
I should really get something by Virginia Woolf...?
I like to sleep for like half an hour in the middle of the day, even though I seldom have time for this. And you?
--
"Excuse me, but can I be you for a while? My dog won't bite if you sit real still"
My daydream place is a damp little cottage on a rocky coast in Scotland. I only visited there (the country not the imaginary cottage) briefly, but it made a real impression.
I prefer short non-fiction and novels for fiction. To me what makes a great read is an elegance with language. Non-fiction should be concise, proper word choice and editing can make a large concept easy to understand in few words. And in fiction I like to be immersed in a whole world. One of the things I love about Woolf is that she could write a paragraph about the weather, and you instantly understood the mood of the characters; there was no need to write another page about that. Being drawn in to a book is magical.
And you?

Yes i do that sometimes too AH. Having a cell phone may make your life easy at times, but in others it really feels like you are being intruded.
If you could live anywhere in the world apart from your home country where would that be? I think i could probably live in Spain. And you?
I don't know if it's quite the same, but I have a tendancy to find some people whom I really admire... I mean, sometimes I admire them for their way of dealing with things, other times I just admire how beautiful they are, both on the inside or the outside... I like it when I have those kind of people in my life - they inspire me
Sometimes, I like to just turn off my phone and just be myself without anyone being able to disturb me
And you?
