During the last weeks, I've fallen in love with Tori's song "Scarlet's Walk." I almost cry every time I hear it, especially when she sings,
"I will follow her on her path -- Scarlet's walk through the violets"
I'm seriously considering naming one of my children Scarlet. I'm not pregnant or anything, and I'm not planning on getting pregnant within the next couple of years
However - I've been looking for names for a long time, and now I've finally found one
I think this line from the song describes beautifully how I am going to follow my children on their paths, and Scarlet is indeed a beautiful name

Hi!
Hi AH,
I can relate to that, looking for and thinking of names I would like for a son or a daughter. I always did that, had a list of favourites (in my mind) and was súre if I would get kids I would give him or her one of these names.
But, you know, when I got pregnant 8 years ago, it appeared that there is also a father with his own preferences...haha! (our son didn't get a name from my list, but one we both liked and I'm now very happy with it. (And with the child :_) )
Anyway, I do like Scarlet for a name! Never really thought about it, but apart from Tori's cd, it also has a lot of historical (hey, almost historical.!) meanings, like the story "The Scarlet Letter" and some other old sages and stories. So it is a name with a deep meaning! I'd keep it in mind and would immediately tell a "probable" dad about it, let him sign a contract, haha! (just in case he gets his own ideas)
I added you to my buddy list as well, if that's ok with you!
love,
Ciske

Thanks!
Dear AH,
Thanks a lot for your reply on my blog, just what I needed: peptalk!
I already did realise that this year gives me lots of opportunities and that I can spend the time well, finding out more about myself, what I réally want, who I am deep inside and of course spending a lot of time with my son Jesse. But these positive thoughts where hidden behind a cloud for a few days and your reply brought the good feelings back! Thanks!
You take care as well,
love,

naming little ones
I won't be having children since I have some medical issues. Which is okay really, I didn't even really think about wanting them until I was told not. But in the land of an eleven year olds daydreams I had thought it would be great to take my children's names from nature. Names like Violet, and Willow, and I even had thoughts for boys - like Sage or Sequoia. They would be my own little garden of beauty. I guess in way that could be like the gardens of The Beekeeper. I only just thought of that!

Amazing idea!!
Wauv - Bending-Chills. I'm amazed! That sounds like a great idea to name your children after the nature and then have your own garden of beauty
I'm sorry that you're not going to be able to have children, though... Hopefully, some of your friends find these names as amazing as I and decide to use them??
Love, AH
