So... This is interesting because Tori seemed to come and go once in my life. The first time I was exposed to her music was Cornflake Girl. I was 13. Around that time, my school grade was going on camp. Somewhere in the bush just near Brisbane. (The capital city in Queensland, Australia). Anyway, the folk who were supervising the whole excursion, thought it may be nice to go into the city and have an hour of shopping time. Generous huh? The first thing I purchased was the Cornflake Girl single. On cassette. So, I had no means to listen to the tape on camp, as there were no players. So I had to wait, and I was dying to hear the B-Side, Sister Janet. The time came when it was time to return home. Before we left, I made sure I had everything. Once back home, I realised, "hang on a minute, my new friend Tori was missing". So high and low i searched and she was nowhere! I asked the teacher to check bags as I was sure someone had pinched my new little red-headed friend. Nothing. Gone forever. How strange... Anyway, I just assumed she didn't like me and that was that.
A while later, browsing through a record store. I see this familiar woman on the cover of a CD on a chair with a shotgun. So I bought the little gem and fell in love with the entire thing. Since then Tori has been building quite a collection amongst my CD's and I never let her get away a second time.
It seemed this time around she liked as well.
