I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...I don't know why. I think it must be genetic or something. Every beginning chord takes me somewhere, evokes an emotion, touches my head or my heart. Weird I know but that's the way it is. When someone asks me what my favorite Tori song is I think, is it possible to have a favorite? Don't think so. They each have special meaning and different places within. If there is an answer to the question I guess it would be that. They are MY special meanings and places even though the words and music belong to her. How does she do that may be a better question!!
