I was always a very big Tori Amos fan BUT in January 2001 was sister was randomly murdered in a rest stop while traveling. The Little Earthquakes album more than likely saved my life. The murderer was caught and we did not pursue the death penalty because "it is an empty cage girl if you kill the bird"
It is almost like Tori is speaking my sisters words in many of her songs on many different albums, including.....
5 a.m. Friday morning.....still up and driving, can't go home.... Me and a gun and a man on my back....
SOOO I have felt a strong bond between Tori, myself, and my sister for so long. So the plot thickens... My sister and I grew up listening to Jim Croche (thanks dad) So if it is not listening to Tori that makes me feel closer to her then The Croche always does... So anyway, a bit of magic happened in 2005 at the Summer of Sin tour... Listen to your bootlegs... She was in Chicago, near the rest stop that my sister was murdered... Tori says something along the lines of feeling very strongly about singing a song (and mentions her brother) and she was not really sure why... WELL she played the song "Operator" by Jim Croche.. It was the most surreal, spiritual, moment of my life... If you ask me... Tori and my sister, Heather, did that one together... just for me!!!
Great venue
WOO HOO!!
