I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...Tori Amos is musical genius. Her music is in a class totally of its own. Her lyrics actually make you think, which is rare in this time of assembly line pop culture 'icons' who can't even perform live without lip syncing...I feel that the music industry forces these kids to make unhealthy choices which result in irresponsible drug use, an 'I am better than you' attitude, and a feeling of immortality. I like Tori's music because, again, it makes you think! You can apply her lyrics to situations in your own life and the similarities between them. She is constantly evolving as an artist, and I know with every new album, I can expect to discover a new side of Tori; sometime sweet and sentimental, other times pissed off, and everything in between. Simply put: Thank you, Tori, for everything you have done for me in my life. Of course, you don't know what that personally means, but I do and that's all that matters!
